Privacy at Houseboat Studios

Last updated: July 5, 2026

We make small games, not databases of people. Here is the whole story.

No accounts, no tracking profiles

Our games and apps (on the web and on Fire TV) have no sign-up, no login, and we do not build advertising profiles. Game progress and stats are stored locally on your device (browser storage) and never leave it.

What does leave your device

Some games generate their jokes and verdicts with AI. When you play those, the answers you pick (and, in party games, the nicknames you choose) are sent to our servers and passed to an AI provider (OpenAI) to write the game's response. This content is not linked to your identity, and we don't store it after the game round is generated.

Games that use the microphone (for example Reverso, on the web) send the recorded clip to our server solely to transcribe and score the round; clips are not kept.

Analytics

Our websites use privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics (page views, rough device type) to see which games people enjoy. No cross-site tracking, no selling of data — nothing to sell.

Purchases

Subscriptions on Fire TV (the Houseboat Party Pass) are processed entirely by Amazon. We never see your payment details — Amazon just tells the app whether a subscription is active.

Kids

Our games are made for teens and adults and are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
